WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL EXPERIENCE Volleyball requires complex visual and motor skills, quick decision-making, and teamwork. The sport involves running, jumping, throwing (serving and hitting), and potentially diving, sliding, sprawling, and rolling. This program accommodates individuals of various readiness levels, so no previous playing experience or skill is required.

In both Beginner and Intermediate levels, drills, equipment, court dimensions, and games are scaled down, with semi-flexible rules to promote success, action, and engagement. Participants focus on playing, having fun, and learning as they go.

WHAT TO EXPECT Your child will learn to practice and play key aspects of volleyball through:

-Simple drills and lead-up games with elements of cooperation and competition

-Basic position play, offensive and defensive strategies

-Introduction to volleyball rules and skill variations

-Social skill development in a supportive environment

Our coaches pay close attention to each participant to ensure they stay interested and want to keep playing. We recognize that kids develop at different rates and will let you know if your child is ready for a higher level of play.

WHAT TO BRING Large water bottle, court shoes, spandex shorts/leggings, moisture-wicking shirt, volleyball knee pads (recommended)

BEGINNER WELCOME Perfect for new players or those building confidence! You're a great fit if you have little to no volleyball experience, or up to 2-3 years of recreational play (YMCA, Boys & Girls Club). Maybe you know some basic rules and can pass, set, or serve occasionally. You're still developing consistency - perhaps making your serve about half the time or less. You're ready to learn and have fun!

INTERMEDIATE WELCOME Ready to take your skills to the next level! You have at least one year of club volleyball experience, plus recreational play, or solid middle school team experience. You feel confident with basic skills and know most game rules. You consistently make your serve 70%+ of the time with good pace, and you may already have a preferred position like setter or outside hitter.
