Train & Play is a great way to work on the various skills of the game and get tons of live gameplay all in one session. The first hour will focus on skill development and linking together the touches of the game. All skills will be covered throughout the duration of Train & Play. The second hour will be all competitive play with lots of different games and formats designed to get everyone tons of reps chances to score points. Train & Play is best for intermediate players who have a base skill set and an understanding of how the competitive game works.
We have 2 divisions for Train & Play, Late Intermediate/Advanced, and Early Intermediate. Late Intermediates have several years of club or school ball under their belts, understand positions & rotations, and have a grasp on the skills and flow of the game. Early Intermediates have less than 3 club/school team experiences, and are building a knowledge and skill set that will allow for more competitive game play down the road.
Players will be initially separated on each court by division. For players not quite ready for Train & Play - Youth League & Academy are best suited for middle school and younger players who haven't had extensive competitive volleyball experience.
