NPJ Bend Youth League is an awesome opportunity for boys and girls of all skill levels to learn and grow their volleyball skills in a fun and exciting environment. Youth League is for beginners and early intermediates as an introduction to the volleyball skills, the team system and the NPJ way of playing the game.

This league is designed to teach volleyball fundamentals in a way that is both challenging and achievable with both practices and in-house tournaments nights.  Your players will learn about forearm/overhead passing, hand & bump setting, underhand/overhand/jump serving, attacking and footwork, defense and more.  Lots of competitive rallies are played while we learn the game! Experienced coaches will help keep players moving and engaged as well as NPJ volleyball players helping facilitate practices.

No experience or prior club affiliation necessary! 

If your player has knee pads that is awesome! It is not a requirement but knee pads give new players confidence when diving.  Please have your player bring a water bottle to each practice.  We will build in plenty of water breaks! (The gym only has one water fountain so please send your player with one).  Please have your player dress in athletic clothing and court shoes, no jewelry.

We host 3 in-house tournaments each 6 week season during regularly scheduled practice time. Tournament nights are evenings parents can come watch and cheer!  These nights are not about winning at all costs, but still focused on fun competition and watching what your player has learned.  Players will be on teams with equal playing time and rotate through each position.  The first two tournaments we will NOT be scoring games but rather timing them and then rotating to a new game.  Coaches and helpers will also be facilitating game play by entering free balls and allowing players to serve more than once if they miss the first serve.  PLEASE JOIN US IN CELEBRATING ANY AND ALL 3 CONTACT PLAYS! We are promoting the “VOLLEY” in volleyball :)  Tournament nights will include a lot of play, a lot of coaching and an overall FUN filled vibe!  Players should wear their NPJ shirt on Tournament nights.
