MICHELLE O'CONNELL

12 PREMIER HEAD COACH

Michelle was born and raised in Idaho where she played three years of varsity volleyball at Skyview High School. Then went on to play collegiately at the College of Idaho from 2003-2007.  After college she coached for both Club Idaho at the 18U level and Idaho Crush 10U volleyball.  She was the head coach at Vallivue high school from 2010-2015 earning 5 top 4 State Championship finishes.  From 2016-2019, Michelle was the head coach at Ridgevue High School, where she was named 5A Coach of the year.  

In 2019 Michelle coached a season with the Summit Storm volleyball program before being offered a teaching position at Bend Senior High in 2020.  She has been at Bend Senior High School for 5 years and is their current JV volleyball coach.  Michelle is in her 6th year coaching for NPJ.  Her roles at NPJ have included 11U local, 12U National, 13U and 14U National teams, earning a bid to GJNC the past 3 years.  She also runs the NPJ Youth League program in Bend. Michelle’s family includes two daughters, Lucy and Berklee and her husband Sean works for Life Flight.
