BROOKE HOLLAND

14-3 LOCAL HEAD COACH

My love for volleyball began when I was 10, and my mom asked if I had any interest in playing for a Parks & Rec team here in Bend. I had never touched a volleyball before then, and as soon as I picked one up, I knew it was meant to be.

My volleyball career spanned 8 years, from 5th grade to my senior year of high school. I played club for a small organization in Sunriver called SDVA and participated in the same local tournaments as NPJ, even playing matches against some of their teams. I have experience playing every position, but I fell in love with being a libero. That was my position for most of my career, spanning 4 years, along with 3 years as a setter, 1 year as an outside hitter, and even a tournament as a middle blocker. I also had a brief assistant coaching position for both the Three Rivers Middle School 8th-grade team and my former club team, which is why I am coming back to coaching.

I recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and upon moving back home to Bend, I realized how much I missed volleyball. This was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. Through these experiences, I have learned the true value of teamwork, dedication, and overcoming adversity.
I am thrilled to be part of the NPJ Family and coach the 14-3 team, and I am so excited for this volleyball season!
