COURTNEY BLANTON

14 PREMIER HEAD COACH

Coach Courtney is originally from Round Rock, Texas, and recently relocated to the area in April to continue her education and flight training as she works toward becoming an Airline Pilot.

Her volleyball journey began at just seven years old, and her love for the sport grew into a lifelong passion that led her to compete at the Division I collegiate level. Those experiences as a player shaped her competitive mindset, leadership style, and deep understanding of the game. Qualities she now instills in every athlete she coaches.

A passionate and dedicated leader, Coach Courtney is committed to developing strong, confident athletes both on and off the court. She believes volleyball teaches valuable life lessons about teamwork, accountability, and perseverance. Her practices emphasize not only improving technical skills and strategy, but also building communication, discipline, and leadership. With years of playing and coaching experience, she brings a competitive edge, a positive attitude, and a deep love for the game to every team she leads.

This season marks Coach Courtney’s sixth season as a Head Coach. She coached at the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA) while attending college in the Washington, D.C. area. During the period when school transitioned online, she relocated to San Diego, California, where she served as the Head Coach for the Girls’ Varsity Team at Chula Vista Learning Community Charter (CVLCC) and the 17-2 and 14-2 teams at Storm Volleyball Club.

Under her leadership, the CVLCC Varsity Team won their conference each season, Coach Courtney was honored as the conference’s Coach of the Year, and one of her athletes was recognized as Player of the Year annually.

Coach Courtney is very excited and honored to be a part of the NPJ family and is looking forward to a fun, competitive, and rewarding season ahead!
