2026 Bend Summer Camps

Jun 22 - Jul 23, 2026

Beginner Summer Camp

Beginner level means you are brand new or relatively new to volleyball, with usually 0-3 years of Parks & Rec / YMCA / Club experience. Beginners have a basic understanding of the rules and flow of the game, and are figuring out how to properly communicate during the rally. Beginner level players are still learning and developing each of the necessary skills, and can make their serve around 50% of the time, usually in front of the service line. Specific positions likely haven't yet been assigned. Players and teams can sometimes get a rally going, with the other side able to dig and send it back about 50% of the time.

Intermediate Summer Camp

Intermediate is a wide range of skill and experience, and usually means you've had 3+ years of YMCA / Parks & Rec training and local camp/club or middle school team experience. Intermediate players usually have a solid understanding of the rules of the game, and are building up all of their skills. Intermediate level players can usually make their serve 70% of the time or higher, and can serve behind the line. Intermediates have just started to understand the specific positions and should have a favorite position to play. Players should be comfortable communicating and playing with players they don't know, and are always ready to hustle for every ball. Rallies should have multiple exchanges over the net and should have more attacking than free balls.
